Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘u’! Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘u’!
Here is a quick refresher: Here is a really good website which might help with this activity & finding an object: Home-speech-home.com and click on ‘Word lists’, scroll down and click on the letter under ‘Articulation’, find the letter of the week e.g. ‘u’ this week. This information can help with children’s speech & language and their phonics which is good for children who need help with their speech sounds. If your child is not yet able to identify the letter with an object, try this activity: Using the word list, collect several objects with the letter ‘u’, place them in a box and let your child decide on which one to bring in and bring in a different object each session. This might help your child identify the letter with the object more easily.

Makaton – This is a language using signs and symbols; we are going to learn ‘goodbye’:

This weekend – Big Garden Birdwatch It’s the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch, would you like to take part in the biggest wildlife survey, go to: rspb.org.uk/birdwatch. We would love to hear which birds you can see in your garden. Don’t forget to share your activities on Tapestry.
