By November 13, 2015 News No Comments

Dear Parents / Carers

Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter next week will be ‘R’. Please can your child bring in an item which has an ’R’.

Colour of the Week – Our next colour is pink! Please can your child bring in a pink item to share with us at Circle time!

Playhouse Activities This Week – We’ve been celebrating Diwali and have created fantastic elephants and have made Indian bread. We’ve also had lots of fun celebrating Children In Need, thank you for your kind donations.

Playhouse Activities Next Week – The children have been very interactive this week in helping us decide some of next weeks activities; we’ve had special requests for a teddy bears picnic, patterns, bug houses, puppet shows and storytelling. So next week we’ll be making cheese straws, we’re going to have a Teddy Bears picnic on Wednesday, so please bring in a teddy! We’ll look at patterns and symmetry, bug houses and beehives, puppets and of course lots of storytelling!

Christmas Cards – If you have any last orders for your personalised Christmas gifts, please ensure your bookings are in on Monday 16th November 2015. Cheques to be made payable to Helpston Playhouse. Thank you.

It’s getting colder – Please can you ensure your child has a warm winter coat, we spend a great deal of time outside and we’re finding that a fleece isn’t quite sufficient to keep your child warm.

Communications – Just a reminder that all communications to the Playhouse should be made by phone on 01733 253243 or email on helpstonplayhouse@johnclare.peterborough.sch.uk

Raffle – We are currently selling Raffle Tickets! We are giving you the chance to win a weekend in the all new Audi TT from Peterborough Audi. Raffle Tickets costs £5.00 with all proceeds going to Helpston Playhouse. Please see a member of staff for details.

Head lice – Just a reminder that we’ve recently had an instance of Head Lice being reported at the Playhouse, please ensure you check your child for re-infestation as this can occur for up to a couple of weeks. For girls with shoulder length hair, please ensure this is tied up to prevent further spread. Many thanks for your assistance.

Have a lovely weekend!

Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
