Dear Parents / Carers

Letter & Sound of the WeekOur chosen letter for next week will be ‘g’. Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘g’?

Colour of the Week – Next week’s colour is BLUE! Please can your child bring in a BLUE item to share with us at Circle time?

Playhouse ActivitiesNext week we will continue making pizza’s with your children. We now have a tadpole and a Water Boatman and we will be looking at their life cycles with your children over the coming weeks.

Head lice – Please can you check your children for head lice and treat accordingly, we have been notified of an instance within the Playhouse.

Summer Weather – The weather is getting much better and we’re having lots of sunny days! Please can you provide your child with a sun hat and sun cream. Please apply sun cream in the morning before Preschool so that we only need to reapply at lunchtime as this is a huge task with so many children. You may wish to consider a 10 hour suncream! All sun creams need to be named.

Fundraising – Your fundraising has helped purchase a children’s wheelbarrow, a perspex planter so the children can see the plants root system, flowers and herbs which will encourage lots of wildlife into the garden. Thank you.

Mobile PhonesPlease can you remember not to use your mobile phones within the Playhouse grounds? We have a strict ‘No mobile phone’ policy in place to safeguard all children at the setting.

Save the Date – Tuesday 23rd June, we will be holding our Sports Day on this date. More information to follow soon.

Pigeons Farm – Please can you return your permission slips and payment to the Playhouse as soon as possible?

Hot LunchesReminder – all Hot Lunches need to be booked in advance, ideally the week before or on the Monday at the very latest. We need to book all lunches through John Clare and must give them our numbers in advance. Thank you.

Bags to SchoolPlease don’t give away old clothes, shoes, hats and soft toys…on 11th May you will receive a Bag2School bag. Please can you fill this with unwanted items above! The heavier the bag the more money we will receive for the Playhouse. We participate in this activity with the Friends of John Clare to help raise funds for both the Playhouse and school. Bags will be collected from the John Clare school playground on the 4th June and the school usually accepts bags during that week. Further details will follow.

Invoices – all invoices have been issued, please can you ensure these are paid on time; the due dates can be found on your invoice along with the Playhouse bank details! Many thanks.

Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
