Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter for next week will be ‘a’. Please can your child bring in an item beginning with ‘a’.
Colour of the Week – Next week’s colour is YELLOW! Please can your child bring in a YELLOW item to share with us at Circle time?
Our topics – We are going to concentrate on your child’s fine motor skills, if you would like to continue this at home this will benefit your child e.g. cutting and making snips in paper! We are also going to re-inact Jack and the Beanstalk, the children are really enjoying the castle and this current theme!
Visit to a Peterborough Mosque – Our trip to the Peterborough Mosque was brilliant! Everyone who attended really enjoyed themselves. The Mosque were very welcoming. The trip was very informative for both adults and children. A very interesting insight into another religion. Our thanks to Shaheen, her family and her friends at the Mosque for arranging this trip.
Severe & Snowy Weather – The weather is changing and we might have snow! If John Clare Primary is closed we will be closed too. We have communicated our procedures for Severe Weather but if you have missed this, please let us know and we will let you have another copy. We do go outside in all weathers so please can you bring in wellies and a warm winter coat for your child/children. Please can you ‘name’ these too!
Helpston’s Got Talent – Watch this space… Helpston’s Got Talent is coming soon.
Snap – We have a Guinea Pig at the Playhouse: Snap is really easy to look after so if you and your child would like to adopt her for a weekend, please let us know, we really need volunteers!!
Spare clothes – if you have any spare clothes you no longer require, please can we have them? We have a number of children potty training at the moment and spare clothes come in handy for those little accidents. If you have preschool clothes at hoke, please can you return them as soon as possible. Thank you.
